the modern nursery

So with my growing interest in baby things, I thought I'd share some pretty rad nursery designs. I swear, 2011 must be the year for babies. When I was pregnant, the list of friends or acquaintances who had a bun in the oven grew to more than 30 -- all to deliver this year. I know most women go through the "nesting" phase, where we wash all Baby's clothes, clean the house like we've never cleaned before, assemble the crib, and put our creative hats on to convert the empty guest room into a nursery. Check out these ideas -- simply babylicious!

fabric flag banner :: brooklyn's 1st birthday

G'morning! We're sharing the custom fabric flag banner we designed and made for Brooklyn's 1st Birthday party! The printed fabrics matched the special invitations we designed a few months ago. *When considering making a flag banner, first decide where you are going to hang it (outdoor, indoor, low, high) and then determine the size of the individual flags. Remember to measure the length of the wall! . . .(click for full post)

may+john's e-session :: by chaz cruz photography

Next month, we'll be working in beautiful Long Beach, California to coordinate Marjoriemay and John's special day. It's exciting because 1) we've booked another rad client, 2) it's our first wedding in Long Beach, and 3) it's at Hotel Maya -- a luxury boutique resort/hotel with tons of Latin and SoCal character, from the unconventional furnishings, to the abstract artwork that dresses the walls, to the gorgeous skyline of Long Beach that serves as the backdrop to the hotel. After touring the reception site a few weeks ago, we are even more pumped for the wedding. But first, we've got to share this really sweet couple's engagement session in Long Beach by Chaz Cruz, one truly talented photographer who knows how to tell a story via his photos. Aren't they one good-looking couple?! Take a peek and enjoy!
